Employee Perspective: What’s It Like to Work at My Estate Concierge?

A Look Inside My Estate Concierge

John Fay, Senior Field Technician at My Estate Concierge (MEC), walks us through what it looks like to work at MEC. In this video, he highlights the unique opportunities, team dynamics, and the rewarding nature of the work. His insights provide a glimpse into the daily responsibilities, the relationships built with clients, and the diverse skill sets required to succeed in this role. John, who joined MEC in 2020, shares his thoughts below.

“I DON’T THINK ANYBODY CAN MATCH WHAT WE HAVE HERE”

I don't think anybody can match what we have here at My Estate Concierge. We have a great staff at MEC with a wide variety of skill sets.

What makes My Estate Concierge unique is the properties we work on. It's a privilege to enter some of these incredible homes, and the relationships we build with the homeowners are just as valuable. Over the years, we develop their trust, allowing us to seamlessly take care of any issues that arise within their homes.

The client manager's role is essential. Through clear communication with the client, they coordinate schedules and ensure everything aligns with the client's needs. Once everything is arranged, one of our technicians follows up to complete the job. Thanks to shared pictures and detailed information, the technician knows exactly what to expect before arriving for a service call. Afterward, the client manager provides a follow-up, informing the client about the work completed, whether additional visits are necessary, or if a specialized trade professional is needed for further repairs.

TEAMWORK, COLLABORATIOn, AND “NO TWO DAYS ARE EVER THE SAME”

We have a strong team atmosphere. One of the perks of working here is having a company-provided vehicle stocked with everything needed to perform the job. Collaboration is a key part of our success, and we work well together, leveraging our diverse skill sets. Our team includes skilled carpenters, and we also collaborate with the build department or subcontractors to meet specific carpentry needs.

Every property we service is unique and presents new challenges every day. These homes have varying needs, requiring skilled and patient employees to handle the tasks effectively.

For anyone considering working at MEC, I highly recommend it. The team is great, and the daily challenges keep things interesting—no two days are ever the same. If this sounds like the right fit for you, give us a call!
